UNION and PTI Reach Agreement on Compensation for Personal Phone Use

We are pleased to advise you that effective April 1, 2026, drivers shall receive a reimbursement for cell phone use.

Over-the-road drivers (OTR), will receive a reimbursement .50¢ per trip for use of their personal cell phone for personal use.

Scheduled Shift Drivers (DYV, MPV and Shuttle) shall receive reimbursement of .25¢ per shift for use of personal phone for personal use.

We are pleased that this matter has been addressed and we will seek additional enhancements to these payments in the upcoming negotiations.

Dear UPSEU Local 1222P Professional Transportation, Inc. Member:

UPSEU and your negotiating team, as noted below, are pleased to advise you we have reached an agreement on terms of a new three (3) year contract. The agreement provides for wage increases above any rail crew transportation contract throughout the country. Review the MOA here. Your negotiating team and UPSEU are recommending your approval.

MOA Highlights Include

• Additional personal day after twelve (12) years of employment (five (5) total).
• Per diem increase from $40.00 to $50.00 (effective 01/01/2027)and PTI related work stipend of $60.00 up from the current $50.00.
• Grandparents and grandchildren added to Article 4, Section 8B. Aunt and uncle added to make preparations or attend services at one (1) unpaid day to both subsections.
• Lead Drivers Premium increased from $.50¢ to $.75¢. CD drivers performing training with supervisor approval shall receive the $.75¢ premium.
• Wage increases above any rail crew transportation contract.
• Signing Bonus:
  • 2 years: $50.00
  • 3 years: $100.00
  • 5 years: $150.00
  • 10 years: $225.00
• Vacation Pay: Upon resignation, up to forty (40) hours of vacation accrual shall be paid with 14 days' notice of leaving employment.
• Teladoc Health: Language modified to provide zero-cost visits under the healthcare provision.
• Pay discrepancy improvements.
• CD driver improvements.
• Several other gains.
