Benefits

• Dependent Children Scholarships: All dependent children (up to age 23) of active UPSEU Local 1222 members in good standing for at least two consecutive years are eligible to receive a $500 scholarship ($250 Fall, $250 Spring) to attend an undergraduate accredited college full time (minimum 12 credits). Four (4) scholarships are available. The dependent child may attend a trade or vocational school leading to certification/licensing in a specific field. (The course of study is subject to the approval of the scholarship committee).

• Burial
  All activemembers in good standing with twenty-four (24) continuous months or more of membership benefit shall be covered for a Five Hundred Dollar ($500.00) Burial Benefit payable from UPSEU Local 1222.
  A member who is not on the active payroll due to leave, disability or other similar circumstances remains eligible during the first three (3) months of such leave.
  All Burial Benefit Claims will be paid in accordance with rules promulgated by the Executive Board.
